  1. It definitely is the case that certain movies really end up being a part of your identity in ways you can only appreciate later. Same for Disney experiences. I still remember my trips fondly, although I haven't been back so I can't compare it in adulthood. But I know several people who have returned as adults. I was always a bit nonplussed by this, but it makes more sense in light of what you say--they want to check their childhood memories. But can it be anything but disappointing? I suppose it must be, as otherwise so many adults wouldn't return.
